The University of Alberta, based in Canada offers a fully funded Master’s in Physics. Students with the equivalent of a Bachelor’s degree are normally admitted into the thesis-based MSc program. If progress is satisfactory it is possible for the student to transfer into the PhD program without completing the MSc. The funding for a full-time MSc student in Physics is approximately $29,030 for students who request and receive funding from graduate teaching and/or research assistantships. Graduate Teaching Assistantship (TA) and/or Graduate Research Assistant Fellowship, usually granted over 4 terms each year.
