The University of Calgary, based in Calgary, Canada offers a fully funded PhD in Philosophy. As a graduate student, you will have the opportunity to work with our permanent faculty studying diverse areas of philosophy. Ethics, philosophy of language and logic, and philosophy of science are three areas of particular strength. PhD students and thesis-based MA students are typically admitted with a funding guarantee. Financial support comes in the form of teaching assistantships and research scholarships. Each student who is admitted into our PhD program will receive not less than $22,000 for each of four years, subject to availability of funding and satisfactory progress.
