The University of Georgia, based in Athens, GA offers a fully funded Master’s in Physics. The major research in the department is conducted in the following fields: astrophysics, atomic and molecular physics, nuclear physics, condensed matter physics, statistical mechanics, optics, relativity, high energy physics, and mathematical physics. There is no separate application for the teaching assistantship. All accepted students will receive TA support for their first 1.5 years (guaranteed 44% level during the first three semesters).
