The University of Louisville, based in Louisville, Kentucky offers a fully funded master’s in English. English MA program offers advanced training in literary studies, with options for coursework in creative writing, rhetoric and composition, and professional writing. This program prepares our students to go on to a Ph.D. program in literary studies, rhetoric and composition, creative writing, cultural studies, or related fields. The department awards up to 10 Graduate Teaching Assistantships to our top M.A. applicants each year. For M.A. students, GTAships run 10 months and offer tuition remission, insurance, and a stipend.
