The University of Otago, based in New Zealand offers a fully funded PhD in Peace and Conflict Studies. This three-year Ph.D. program enables a student with a particular interest to carry out independent, original research culminating in a thesis. The National Centre for Peace and Conflict Studies, in partnership with Rei Foundation Limited, has offered two new doctoral scholarships per year. The University of Otago Doctoral Scholarship is the main doctoral scholarship, open to both international and domestic applicants. In addition, there are several specialized scholarships that provide $30,696 plus a tuition fee waiver for thesis PhD candidates.
