The University of Vermont based in Burlington, VT offers a fully funded PhD in Clinical Psychology. The Clinical Psychology Program, accredited by the American Psychological Association, is designed to develop competent psychologists who can function in applied, academic, and/or research positions. This is a mentor-based program, which means that incoming Ph.D. students apply to work with a specific faculty research mentor. The Department of Psychological Science attempts to fund all of its eligible full-time graduate students for at least 5 years and has successfully since the inception of the Ph.D. program in 1965.
