L’Oreal Fellowships Help Women Make a Difference in Science

The L’Oreal USA Fellowships for Women In Science program is designed to help women postdoctoral researchers in the U.S. who are pursuing careers in the life and physical/material sciences, as well as mathematics, engineering and computer science, achieve their research goals and make a difference in science. This nationally competitive program provides 5 awards of up-to $60,000 as well as professional development workshops, media training and networking opportunities, and is currently accepting applications for 2012 fellows.

“Since its inception in 2003, the L’Oreal USA Fellowships For Women In Science program has awarded 40 fellowships to women scientists across the U.S. Each year, the program attracts talented applicants from diverse scientific fields, representing some of the nation’s leading academic institutions and laboratories. The Award selection process includes a two-stage review method. Stage 1 includes a first round review by an interdisciplinary panel of 26 scientists and engineers followed by Stage 2, when a distinguished jury of eminent scientists and engineers reviews the top applications and selects the L’Oreal USA Fellowships For Women In Science recipients.” Read the full press release
