The Mickey Leland Energy Fellowship (MLEF) Program is a 10-week funded fellowship that provides undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students hands-on research experience with the Department of Energy’s (DOE) Office of Fossil Energy (FE) under the mentorship of program officials and scientists. Application deadline: January 2, 2015
The Cultural Vistas Fellowship provides fully funded fellowships to 12 undergraduates, which includes a 6-week virtual seminar, an 8-week internship abroad in Argentina, Germany or India, an orientation and reentry seminars in NYC, and post-program service projects. This year’s theme is entrepreneurship and innovation. Application deadline: January 15, 2015
The Greenlining Summer Associate Program is an intensive 10-week training program in Berkeley, CA for recent graduates to learn about national and state-level policy issues. Fellows receive a $4,750 stipend. Application deadline: January 29, 2015
SPHSP is a fully funded 10-week summer program at Columbia University in New York City that provides undergraduate students an opportunity to learn about public health and biomedical science careers. The program includes Public Health course work, hands-on field experience, seminars and mentoring. Application deadline: January 31, 2015
The hackNY Fellows pairs quantitative and computational students with mentors in New York City startups. The fellowship provides a stipend, free housing, hackathons, lectures and a professional network of like-minded technology enthusiasts. Next deadlines: December 15 & February 1.
The Amgen Scholars Program at the University of California, Berkeley provides a summer research experience in a UCB faculty member’s lab for enrolled students interested in careers in the sciences and biotechnology. Provides a stipend, housing, travel and college credit. Application deadline: February 2, 2015
The SSF places up to 12 talented undergraduate psychology majors in an all-expenses paid 6-week intensive summer training program at the George Mason University Department of Psychology in Washington, DC. The program is open to rising college seniors at U.S. or Canadian colleges and universities. Application deadline: February 9, 2015
The US-UK Fulbright Commission offers special Summer Institutes for U.S. undergraduates with a 3-6 week academic and cultural summer program at a university in the United Kingdom. The programs cover international travel, tuition, accommodation and meals. Application deadline: February 26, 2015
Equal Justice America offers fellowships of up to $4,000 to students at select U.S. law schools who work full-time over the summer at non-profit organizations providing direct civil legal assistance for the poor. Placements can be anywhere in the United States. Application deadline: March 23, 2015
AIER’s 7-week Summer Fellowship Practicum provides students and recent graduates in economics, finance, business or related fields an introduction to economic concepts, theories, and real world applications. Fellows receive a stipend and housing. Application deadline: April 1, 2015
