  • NEH Fellowships for Advanced Social Science Research on Japan: The Fellowship Program for Advanced Social Science Research on Japan is a joint activity of the Japan-U.S. Friendship Commission (JUSFC) and the National Endowment for the Humanities. Awards support research on modern Japanese society and political economy, Japan’s international relations, and U.S.-Japan relations. Fellowships support continuous full-time work for 6-12 months. Successful applicants receive a stipend of up to $5,000 per month. The maximum stipend is $60,000 for twelve months. / Apply by April 21, 2024

 

  • Massachusetts Promise Fellowship: Massachusetts Promise Fellows dedicate a year of service to build their leadership skills and make an impact on young people in Massachusetts. Through the supportive network of the Fellowship, individuals gain a lifetime of experience as they develop their organizational and communication skills and grow as leaders of their projects. Fellows receive a $20,000 annual living stipend, AmeriCorps Education Award, and free courses at Northeastern’s College of Professional Studies. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents, 17 years of age or older with a high school diploma or GED. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until filled.   • Elizabeth Neuffer Fellowship: The Elizabeth Neuffer Fellowship gives academic and professional opportunities to women journalists who focus on covering human rights and social justice. Fellows will have the chance to complete research and coursework at MIT’s Center for International Studies and participate in internships with media outlets including The Boston Globe and The New York Times. The Fellowship is open to women journalists worldwide working in print, broadcast, and/or Internet-based media, including freelancers. Applicants must have a minimum of three years of professional experience working full-time in news media. A fixed monthly stipend will be provided to cover housing, meals, and ground transportation during the fellowship. / Apply by April 21, 2024

 

  • NWF EcoCampus Graduate Student Research Fellowship: National Wildlife Federation EcoLeader Graduate Student Fellows help to educate and engage the EcoLeaders community through dedicated research projects. Fellowship grants are awarded to graduate students working with National Wildlife Federation staff on research that helps to expand the content and development of the EcoLeaders program to help college students and recent graduates use project-based learning to develop their environmental leadership and sustainable career goals. Fellows receive a $3,000 stipend, professional development assistance and networking, and the possibility of academic credit for successful completion of the project. / Apply by April 23, 2024

 

  • Tiny Beam Fund Fellowships: The Tiny Beam Fund is offering 9-month fellowships for academic researchers interested in tackling the negative impacts of global industrial food animal production, especially concerning low- and middle-income countries. Fellowships are offered once each year around April. Categories of awards and eligibility: $60,000 (for PhD holder – single individual or team of up to four persons). $45,000 (for students close to completing PhD – single individual or team of up to four persons). There are no restrictions as to applicants’ place of residence or citizenship. / Apply by April 24, 2024

 

  • Bellagio Center Residency Program: The Rockefeller Foundation’s Bellagio Center Residency Program offers academics, artists, policymakers, and practitioners an opportunity to unlock their creativity and advance groundbreaking work through the completion of a specific project in a residential group setting during 4 weeks of focused time. Projects can be based on any topic but must demonstrate clear social impact and charitable purpose. A shared community of up to 15 scholars, artists, or practitioners coming from all over the world.   • National Health Service Corps Scholarship Program: The National Health Service Corps Scholarship Program (NHSC SP) awards scholarships to students pursuing eligible primary care health professions training. In return, scholars commit to providing primary care health services in Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs) to a minimum of two years of full-time service. You will join thousands of current and former NHSC clinicians who provide primary healthcare services to communities in need. Financial support is provided for full-time enrollment in an eligible primary care health professions degree training program for up to four school years. / Apply by April 25, 2024

 

  • University of Toronto Fully Funded PhD in Pharmacology: The University of Toronto in Ontario, Canada offers fully funded programs of study for students to earn a Ph.D. in Pharmacology. The objective of the Ph.D. degree in Pharmacology is to have students possess a comprehensive understanding of the general field of pharmacology, in addition to specific expertise in their particular area of interest. They build on their knowledge of pharmacology so that they can think critically about specific areas in pharmacology. Particularly welcome applications linked to the themes of the new Institute Project on Decoloniality (IPD’24). This project invites scholars from around the world to visit Edinburgh and conduct research on the theme of decoloniality, broadly understood. Competition for IASH Postdoctoral Fellowships is intense and offers targeted postdoctoral opportunities in some disciplines. Applicants must have been awarded a doctorate at the time of application.   • GENDER.ED Postdoctoral Fellowship: The GENDER.ED Postdoctoral Fellowship offers the opportunity to connect with gender and sexualities scholars pursuing interdisciplinary research at the University of Edinburgh and beyond. The network has its program of activities and events, including its reading group and annual research showcase in which the GENDER.ED Postdoctoral Fellow will be invited to participate. The Institute welcomes visiting researchers from across the world and up to 30 researchers are in residence at any one time. Applicants must have been awarded a doctorate at the time of application. The fellowship program provides a maximum of £15,000 for research visits at the University of Edinburgh for 3 to 10 months. / Apply by April 26, 2024

 

  • RACE.ED Stuart Hall Foundation Fellowship: The RACE.ED Stuart Hall Foundation Fellowship invites applications from postdoctoral scholars working in any area of the Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences. RACE.ED is a cross-university network concerned with race, racialization, and decolonial studies from a multidisciplinary perspective. Up to 30 researchers are in residence at any one time and provide a bursary of £15,00 per month for research visits at the University of Edinburgh for 3 to 10 months, plus grants for visa fees if required. Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree and have a suitable project or study to undertake which engages meaningfully with the works of Stuart Hall. / Apply by April 26, 2024
