These fellowships are available to graduate students, early career professionals, post-bac students, postdocs, faculty, and master’s students.   • Bryce Harlow Fellowship: The Bryce Harlow Fellowship supports highly motivated students in pursuit of a career in professional advocacy through government relations and lobbying. Fellowships are awarded to individuals who undertake graduate-level studies on a part-time basis and work full-time. Graduate programs may include but are not limited to, public policy, law, and business. The $9,000 award will help defray tuition costs and will be paid directly to the university. Students will also receive mentoring from the foundation’s board members and career development support throughout the fellowship, which can be renewed each year of the graduate degree. / Apply by April 28, 2024

 

  • William D. Clarke, Sr. Diplomatic Security Fellowship: Through the William D. Clarke, Sr. Diplomatic Security Fellowship, you will embark on a career path that will take you around the world, protecting U.S. personnel, facilities, and information, while supporting diplomacy. Funded by the U.S. Department of State, the Clarke DS Fellowship is a two-year graduate fellowship program designed for individuals who want to pursue a master’s degree and a career as a Diplomatic Security Service (DSS) Special Agent in the Foreign Service. DSS Special Agents are sworn federal law enforcement officers. Clarke DS Fellows receive up to $42,000 annually during the two years for tuition, room, books, and other academic expenses. / Apply by April 29, 2024

 

  • AACSRE Emerging Fellows Program: The Academic Advisory Council for Signage Research and Education (AACSRE), through its Emerging Fellows program, will provide research support for projects related to the societal benefits of on-premise signs. The research support is intended to stimulate and extend research projects by scholars from public and private universities in the United States who have demonstrated promise in conducting research related to signage. Fellowships of up to $10,000 per year will be awarded. Priority for these fellowships will be given to pre-tenured faculty, but post-docs and graduate students may also submit applications. / Apply by April 30, 2024

 

  • New York State Senate Graduate Fellowships: Albany, NY. While duties vary, Fellows generally perform in-depth policy research and participate in meetings with constituents and interest advocacy organizations. There are four fellowship tracks, including the New York State Senate Legislative Fellowship, the Richard J. Roth Journalism Fellowship, the Richard A. Wiebe Public Service Fellowship, and the James L. Biggane Fellowship in Finance. Applicants for the Fellowship must have completed all of their graduate work before starting the program in September or have recently graduated with a graduate-level degree. Fellowships are not financial aid for academic work, on-campus, or classroom study. Applications from a wide range of interests and disciplines are welcome and encouraged.   • University Innovation Fellows Program: The University Innovation Fellows (UIF) program empowers students around the world to become agents of change in higher education. Fellows create opportunities that help their peers unlock their creative potential and develop the design-centered mindset required to take on complex challenges in today’s world. Students of all majors and academic levels – from freshmen to PhDs – who want to shape the future of education are encouraged to apply. Students go through an experiential 6-week online training program, receive year-round mentorship, and attend a networking conference in Silicon Valley. / Apply by April 30, 2024

 

  • Dismas Family Farm Fellowship: Dismas House of Massachusetts, Inc., seeks a fellow for the Dismas Family Farm, a 12-bed, vocational farm for recently released prisoners. The fellowship is a unique, fully-funded, one-year, post-baccalaureate, service opportunity. The Fellow lives in solidarity with the residents of the Dismas Family Farm and helps coordinate daily activities at the farm. Fellows commit issues of social justice, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and are comfortable working with individuals from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds.   • Emerging Writer Fellowships: The Emerging Writer Fellowships are designed to provide 12 months of uninterrupted time and studio space to write and mentorship with feedback from a nationally established author in their respective genre. Fellows may attend one community creative writing workshop per semester and may attend one Miami Writers Institute workshop in the genre of their manuscript in progress. Applicant must not have published in any genre a book-length work, have a book under contract, or be negotiating a contract either in the United States or abroad by the time the fellowship begins.   • ExxonMobil LOFT Fellowship: ExxonMobil Corporation has partnered with the Hispanic Heritage Foundation (HHF) to create fellowship opportunities for Hispanic college students in STEM fields. Through HHF’s Latinos On Fast Track (LOFT) program, ExxonMobil seeks to nurture motivated college students nationwide, with a passion for Engineering and Science. Selected students will be exposed to a top-quality company by participating in this signature mentoring program. Each student will be paired up with an ExxonMobil engineer or scientist to learn how their knowledge and skills are applied in a corporate setting. This opportunity is highly competitive and open to rising sophomores, juniors, seniors, and graduate students attending a 4-year college or university.   • Kirchner Food Fellowship: The Kirchner Fellowship is an opportunity for University Students to impact venture capitalists for an academic year. One stream includes a Fellowship specifically for graduates of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). The program believes that while the amount of impact investment capital increases, access to that capital for entrepreneurs in underserved regions and communities does not. To improve, unique investment approaches that align interests and focus on local ecosystem development for early-stage growth companies are needed. Assembling, training, and empowering young diverse student investment teams for this purpose is the core mission of the fellowship. The program provides a small scholarship, covers travel and accommodation, and provides the capital necessary for investment. Candidates must be enrolled in a United States, Canada, Mexico, or Central American university. / Apply by April 30, 2024

 

  • Public Humanities Fellowships: The Public Humanities Fellowships help writers, independent scholars, community historians, and college and university faculty members share meaningful research, stories, and cultural expressions that are relevant to Virginia’s diverse communities and that connect audiences to wider regional, national, and global contexts. All Fellows will receive a stipend of up to $15,000 to support their projects. If desired, Fellows may complete their four-month fellowship in residence—at Virginia Humanities’ public humanities center in Charlottesville, or the Library of Virginia in Richmond—or virtually. Fellows must be eighteen years or older, reside in Virginia, and be working on a project that is relevant to communities within Virginia. Direct affiliation with a college or university is not required. / Apply by April 30, 2024

 

  • Overseas Development Institute (ODI) Fellowship: The ODI Fellowship Scheme is a two-year fellowship for high-caliber postgraduate economists and statisticians to gain practical work experience in a developing country. The ODI Fellowship Scheme is open to candidates of all nationalities who have a master’s degree or PhD in economics, statistics, or a related field. Fellows are selected and appointed by ODI, but they then become employees of the governments or public bodies for which they work. Fellows received a salary, travel expenses, a monthly supplement, emergency medical insurance, and an end-of-fellowship bonus. / Apply by April 30, 2024

 

  • Budapest Fellowship Program: The Budapest Fellowship Program, is a full-time, fully-funded transatlantic fellowship opportunity in Budapest, Hungary, for senior graduate students and post-doctoral researchers, and early career professionals. The goal of the 10-month program is to cultivate the next generation of American policy professionals and equip them with a thorough understanding of Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) and Hungary. The program will offer extensive professional and personal networking opportunities and fellows will be matched with local mentors to guide them during their fellowship journey. The scholarship provides a monthly stipend to cover living expenses in Budapest. March 15 is the early deadline. / Apply by April 30, 2024

 

  • The Center for Retirement Research Grants and Fellowships: The Center for Retirement Research at Boston College sponsors a summer research program for undergraduate students in a variety of disciplines, the annual Dissertation Fellowship Program, and the annual Steven H. Sandell Grant Program for scholars in the field of retirement and disability research. The programs are funded by the U.S. Social Security Administration. Provide funding opportunities for doctoral candidates and junior or non-tenured scholars from all academic disciplines to pursue cutting-edge research on retirement or disability issues. / Apply by April 30, 2024

  • Blau-Gold Studio/Teaching Fellowship: The Root Division Blau-Gold Studio/Teaching Fellowship (BGSTF) provides free studio workspace to a teaching artist in exchange for being an integral part of Root Division’s Studios Program. In large part, Fellows works as a teaching artist in residence at one of the Youth Education partner program sites for the full school year, plans a curriculum, and develops a series of accessible, relevant, and fun projects for the students at a local school site. In exchange for 16 hours of service per month, Fellows receive free studio space, a $4,000 stipend, access to a creative and professional network, and opportunities to exhibit their artwork. / Apply by May 1, 2024

 

  • Group Study Visit: DAAD offers financial support for academic information visits to Germany which are organized by faculty members for groups of students. Group Study Visit grants are intended to encourage contact with academic institutions, groups, and individuals in Germany, and offer insight into current issues in the academic, scientific, economic, political, and cultural realms. All departments are eligible for this funding. Applications are accepted three times a year. / Apply by May 1, 2024

 

  • German Studies Research Grant: This specialized DAAD program offers up to ten German Studies Research Grants to highly qualified undergraduate and graduate students who are nominated by their department/program chairs. The grant may be used for short-term research (1-2 months) in either Germany or North America. The program is designed to encourage research and promote the study of cultural, political, historical, economic, and social aspects of modern and contemporary German affairs from an inter- and multidisciplinary perspective. / Apply by May 1, 2024

 

  • Leo Baeck Institute – DAAD Fellowship: The Leo Baeck Institute is a research, study, and lecture center whose library and archives offer comprehensive documentation for the study of the history and culture of German-speaking Jewry. Fellowships are awarded for research in New York or Germany on the social, communal, and intellectual history of German-speaking Jewry. Financial assistance is provided to doctoral students for dissertation research and to young academics for the preparation of a scholarly essay or book. / Apply by May 1, 2024

 

  • Winston Churchill Fellowships for Australian Citizens: Churchill Fellowships will be awarded to pursue a 4-8 week overseas investigative project of a kind that is not readily available in Australia. It also aims to reward the proven achievement of talented and deserving Australians with further opportunities in their pursuit of excellence to enrich Australian society. No prescribed qualifications are required to apply for a Churchill Fellowship. Applicants must be Australian Citizens and age 18 or older. The value of every Fellowship is based on the number of countries visited the duration of the approved Fellowship, and estimated airfare. / Apply by May 1, 2024

 

  • Carman International Fellowship at Mosaic: The Carman International Fellowship is an opportunity to work full-time with Mosaic’s local partner at the grassroots level in Moshi, Tanzania. Successful applicants can make a one-year commitment to living and working in a developing country or emerging democracy. The fellowship is seeking candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies, International Relations, Global or Public Health, or a related field and previous field experience in an international setting. Fellows are provided a monthly stipend, housing allowance, and round-trip travel to Tanzania. / Apply by May 1, 2024

 

  • Byron Hanke Fellowship: The Foundation for Community Association Research (FCAR) awards its Byron Hanke Fellowship to selected graduate students to implement research projects related to the development, management, and governance of common interest communities and their community associations. Applicants must be enrolled, at the time of application and through the research period, in a graduate-level program (master, doctoral, legal) at an accredited higher education institution in the United States or Canada. The Hanke Fellowship stipends range from $3,000-$5,000 over one year, or as determined by the Foundation. / Apply by May 1, 2024

 

  • DOE Office of Science Graduate Student Research (SCGSR) Program: The SCGSR program provides supplemental awards to outstanding U.S. graduate students to pursue part of their graduate thesis research at a Department of Energy (DOE) laboratory in areas that address scientific challenges central to the Office of Science mission. The award period for the proposed research project at DOE laboratories may range from 3 to 12 consecutive months. Awardees are eligible to receive a monthly stipend in the amount of up to $3,600 for general living expenses. Applicants must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident Aliens. / Apply by May 1, 2024

 

  • Western University Fully Funded PhD in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering: Western University in Ontario, Canada offers a fully funded Ph.D. Program in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering. The Ph.D. is a 4-year research program working closely with an advisor. There are several fields of research to focus on including biomaterials and biochemical, environmental and green, macromolecular and materials, particle technology and fluidization, and reaction and process systems. Funding comes from a mixture of scholarships, fellowships, studentships, and grants. Minimum aid for Ph.D. students includes a full tuition waiver and a stipend of CAD 17,000 per year.   • Institute of Coaching Graduate Student Fellowships: Harvard University, Institute of Coaching is offering graduate student fellowships for Masters and Doctoral candidates seeking support for coaching dissertation research. Eligible applicants must demonstrate competence in conducting and completing research as graduate students. Awards are up to $10,000 for each fellow.   • Saratoga Fellows Program: The John Jay Institute’s Saratoga Fellows Program is the leadership “topoff” that best prepares young military officers to live out their faith in a thoughtful, compelling, and winsome way while serving their country in uniform. The summer fellowship-in-residence is at our campus in Langhorne, Pennsylvania, where Fellows grapple with readings and topics from interdisciplinary studies in theology, philosophy, ethics, history, politics, culture, and jurisprudence. Criteria for selection are based upon demonstrated Christian commitment and leadership potential. Saratoga Fellows, if not paid by the military during their time with us, will be paid a meal/living stipend of $150/week and receive free housing. / Apply by May 1, 2024

 

  • AHRQ Grants for Health Services Research Dissertation Program: The AHRQ Grants for Health Services Research Dissertation Program (R36) provides dissertation grants for doctoral candidates. This program supports dissertation research that addresses AHRQ’s mission and priorities and welcomes any areas of health services research as dissertation project topics. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and full-time academic students in good standing, who are enrolled in an accredited research doctoral program in such fields as behavioral sciences, health services research, nursing, social sciences, epidemiology, biostatistics, health policy, health informatics, engineering, and mathematics. The award project is for a 9-17 month period and includes an award budget of up to $15,000 in direct costs and a stipend. / Apply by May 1, 2024

 

  • Pisacano Scholars Leadership Program: The Pisacano Scholars Leadership Program provides educational programs, leadership training, and funding for four years beginning in the final year of medical school and through three years of residency training in Family Medicine. Upon selection, each Pisacano scholar will receive an annual scholarship of $5,000 during their final year of medical school and their first three years of Family Medicine training (four years total, regardless of residency length). The maximum scholarship award over four years sums to $28,000. Applicants must be a full-time student in a U.S. medical school. / Apply by May 1, 2024

 

  • DAAD Research Grant: Research Grants are awarded to highly qualified candidates who have completed either: a Master’s degree or Diploma, a Bachelor’s degree (by the time they begin their grant-supported research), or a  PhD (postdoctoral candidate). Applications for long-term grants (7-10 months) are accepted annually in November. Short-term grants (1-6 months) accept applications in November and May.   • INP RISE Fellowship Program: The RISE Fellowship brings together the next generation of highly motivated, mission-driven, early-career social sector and community leaders who are passionate about social change and advancing equity. The RISE Fellowship is designed for early-career individuals looking for impactful leadership development opportunities to propel their careers. During the program, RISE Fellows gain an understanding of how mission-driven, social impact organizations function, develop essential leadership and professional skills, and engage in mentoring relationships and networking.   • SFFILM/Rainin Filmmaking Grants: The SFFILM/Rainin Filmmaking Grants program provides meaningful support to projects that benefit and uplift the Bay Area filmmaking community in a professional and economic capacity.   • Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Fellowships: The CBCF Congressional Fellowship Program equips early-career policy professionals who are committed to contributing to public policy with the necessary skills to become the next generation of leaders in public service. The program is an intensive 12-month policy training and leadership development program that enables fellows to receive hands-on public policy training as full-time legislative aides and policy analysts. CBCF fellowship types include Congressional Fellowships, John R. Lewis National Racial Equity Initiative Social Justice Fellowships, and Research Fellowships.
