The Purposeful Growth Institute MBA Social Impact Fellowship
PGI’s MBA Fellowship is a highly selective,10-week paid opportunity that matches Fellows with one of our high-impact partner organizations that use business as a force for good. The Fellowship also allows participants to learn from social & environmental impact industry experts and gain access to over 50+ hours of learning, reflection, and practice to grow purposefully during their career path. A 10-week long fellowship aimed at undergraduate, graduate, and journalism students interested in using technology to tell stories in new and dynamic ways. After an orientation at Google’s headquarters, Fellows will spend 9 weeks embedded at one of 8 media organizations nationwide. Application deadline: January 15 (updated!)
Asia Studies Fellowship
A 3-month fellowship at the East-West Center in Washington, DC for scholars and analysts who wish to undertake policy-relevant research and writing in one of the following areas: International relations in Asia; Political and economic change in Asia; U.S.-Asia relations; and/or Economic integration and architecture in the Asia-Pacific. AAAS Mass Media Science & Engineering Fellows Program
Fellows work for 10 weeks during the summer as reporters, researchers, and production assistants in mass media organizations nationwide. As part of their job, the student scientists and their host journalists strive to make science news easy for the public to understand. Application deadline: January 15
Lightspeed Venture Partners Summer Fellowships
10-week summer fellowships to support entrepreneurship and innovation among highly motivated engineering and computer science students. Each selected team receives $5,000 per team and $15,000 per team member, mentoring, and office space in Menlo Park, CA. Application deadlines: Round 1 – January 15; Round 2 – March 15
Terra Summer Residency
The Terra Summer Residency brings together doctoral scholars of American Art and emerging artists worldwide for a nine-week residential program in the historic village of Giverny, France. The program encourages independent work while providing seminars and mentoring by senior scholars and artists. Application deadline: January 15
James A. Ferguson Emerging Infectious Diseases Fellowship Program
A CDC-funded, 9-week summer program providing professional development opportunities for students interested in infectious diseases research and health disparities. The program includes a mentored internship at the CDC in Atlanta or other prestigious institutions. Application deadline: January 31
Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship
Each year, approximately 130 undergraduate students from around the U.S. come to Mayo Clinic’s campus in Rochester, MN, to work beside both young and established scientists on a broad range of biomedical research questions. Application deadline: February 1
Whitaker International Summer Program
Provides funding for U.S. bioengineers and biomedical engineers to go abroad for 8 weeks to enhance their existing Master’s or PhD work or participate in an industry internship. Application deadline: February 2
AAF/Seebacher Prize for Fine Arts
Offers U.S.-based fine arts graduate students, or those who have completed their graduate studies within the past 2 years, the opportunity to study at the International Summer Academy of Fine Arts Salzburg in Austria. Application deadline: Typically March, check the website
