Acumen Regional Fellows India
The Regional Fellows Program is a one-year leadership development program that equips 20 extraordinary individuals from across India with the knowledge, support system, and practical wisdom to unlock their full potential and drive positive change in society. Over the course of a year, Fellows remain in their jobs while taking part in five week-long seminars, where they receive the tools, training, and space to innovate new ideas, accelerate their impact, build a strong network of social leaders from across their region and around the world. All costs associated with participating in the program are covered. Candidates are Indians of all ages and education levels.

All costs associated with participating in the program are covered. Candidates are Pakistanis of all ages and education levels who are able to participate in a program conducted in English.
Banyan Impact Fellowship (formerly: William J. Clinton Fellowship for Service in India)
AIF’s Banyan Impact Fellowship is a fully-funded volunteer program that places a cohort of young professionals from the US and India in service with communities across India to learn, build capacity, and creates a “living bridge” between both countries. Applicants must be US or Indian citizens or US permanent residents between the ages of 21-35 and have completed a Bachelor’s degree (or higher). AIF provides a living stipend, insurance coverage, program-related travel, training, and mentorship to each Fellow.
Dorot Fellowship in Israel
The Dorot Fellowship is designed to assemble and empower a network of young Jewish lay leaders to enliven the American Jewish landscape. The fellowship is open to American and Canadian Jews between the ages of 22-29. Fellows live in Israel, where they sharpen the characteristics and skills, acquire the experience, and broaden the networks required for Jewish leadership in the 21st Century. The fellowship is for one year and provides a stipend of up to $27,000.
Fujitsu Scholarship
The Fujitsu Scholarship is a short-term fellowship for social innovators. Over three months, participants travel to four countries – Japan, the United States (Hawaii), Thailand, and Singapore – and develop a plan for social innovation. Participants benefit from discussions with advisors and instructions, first-hand experiences of real issues facing local communities, and dialog with each other. At the end of the program, fellows present their plans for innovation and, upon return to their home countries, begin to implement their plans to solve some of the challenges facing the world. The program covers tuition, travels, and housing.
India Smart Cities Fellowship
A 1-3 year program based in Delhi for recent graduates under the age of 35, the India Smart Cities Fellowship program looks for fellows experienced in urban planning and design, engineering, technology, finance, the social sector, or environmental issues. Fellows apply their skills and experience in working with teams to find creative solutions to pressing challenges being faced by India’s urban sector. Fellows support city leaders in terms of analytics, research, documentation, independent assessment, visualization, or any other activities. Fellows receive Rs. 60,000 per month.
Luce Scholars Program
The Luce Scholars Program is a nationally competitive fellowship program. It was launched by the Henry Luce Foundation in 1974 to enhance the understanding of Asia among potential leaders in American society. The program provides stipends, language training, and individualized professional placement in Asia for 15-18 Luce Scholars each year, and welcomes applications from college seniors, graduate students, and young professionals in a variety of fields who have had limited exposure to Asia. Candidates must be U.S. citizens up to age 30, and candidates must be nominated by one of 75 participating colleges and universities. Check with the university for internal deadlines.
Princeton in Asia Fellowships
Princeton in Asia (PiA) is an independent, non-profit organization affiliated with Princeton University. Founded in 1898, the program has long been driven by a mission to foster mutual appreciation and cultural understanding by connecting service-minded graduates and partner organizations in Asia through immersive work experiences. PiA offers year-long, service-oriented fellowships in 22 countries and regions of Asia in the fields of education, public health, economic development, environmental sustainability, and peace, justice, and access to information. PiA fellowships are open to graduates or graduating seniors of any university.
Yenching Global Symposium
In 2014, Peking University in China founded the Yenching Academy, with the hope of shaping a new generation of global citizens with a nuanced understanding of China and its role in the world. The Academy’s flagship event, the Yenching Global Symposium, is a four-day event consisting of multidisciplinary lectures, panel discussions, site visits, and interactive sessions on Chinese innovation. The Symposium will select and invite approximately 80 students and young professionals under age 30 to participate in the event as delegates. It will cover all fees associated with the trip—including flights, ground transportation, meals, and accommodation.
Zhi-Xing China Eisenhower Fellowship
The Zhi-Xing (or “learning and travel”) Fellowship, is a fully-funded four-week professional and leadership development program that brings 10 mid-career U.S. leaders to China each fall. The fellowship features intensive cultural immersion, group sessions with Chinese and U.S. experts, and two weeks of individually-tailored travel and meetings in four to six Chinese cities around the country. Eisenhower Fellowships seeks a mix of applicants from all professional sectors – public, private and nonprofit – and representing diverse disciplines in the preferred age range of 32 to 45 years old.
